Our Director, Chris Conway

Chris joined the church staff in March 2012. She graduated from Boston University with a degree in elementary education, and taught for 9 years at R.Q. Mills Elementary in Dallas. Chris has attended First UMC Rockwall with Neil Conway since 2000. Neil and Chris have two children Seth and Maya.

Our Curriculum:

Our preschool curriculum includes theme-based units with science, art, circle time and mystery table fun each week!  Each day includes time on the playground, and Move n Groove time to develop gross motor skills.  Music Class is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  We finish the week with a fun theme-based special event! 

Our prekindergarten program is designed to ensure a successful transition to kindergarten.  Using Handwriting without Tears, ZooPhonics curriculum and Calendar Math, we learn writing and mathematical thinking for "big school."  In addition to Music Class, Move n Groove, playground fun, and special events, we spend valuable time exploring math and science centers, literacy centers, and fine motor centers to encourage hands-on learning!  All of our programs include Bible verses and stories.  Our big kids (4 and up) go to Chapel each week with our Director, Chris Conway, as well as monthly Library Field Trips to the Rockwall County Library!  Our prekindergarten classrooms are staffed with a Certified Teacher or Early Childhood Education Degreed Teacher and another loving member of our staff.
